Lee Pin Qi (MS), Co-Founder

Pin Qi was first introduced to the concept of service-learning in 2007, when she embarked on her first overseas service-learning trip to Yunnan. Finding herself benefiting immensely from it, she initiated to set up a service-learning program in the alumni of her alma mater, Temasek Junior College (TJC), and subsequently, at Dunman High School. It has since been self-sustaining since 2009 for TJC and 2011 for Dunman High. To date, the program had empowered more than 200 youths.

Graduating from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor (Second Upper Honours) in Mechanical Engineer, Pin Qi had the vision of setting up a program to nurture a kinder and gracious society, but realised that pursuing a full time job as an engineer would likely leave her with little time to do so.  Taking a leap of faith, she head hunted Aaron and set up the social enterprise ETCH Empathy and went into it full time.

During her school days, Pin Qi was very active in CCA and giving back to the community. She was a President's Girl Guide and was also a recipient of the NYAA Gold award. She is motivated to make a difference in her community using her creative ideas and cheerful disposition. An avid fan of Design Thinking, she believes that applying it can result in empathic solutions for the community.
